I love candles! I love their flickering light. I love the way they can make my whole house smell any fragrance I want. I love the warm, inviting feeling they give my home.
What I didn't like was the amount of money that I spent on candles each week, especially on candles that did not meet my expectations! So I started on the endless task of learning all I could about the manufacturing of candles. I was shocked at what I had learned!

What some manufacturers don't want you to know!
Some manufacturers, especially those that supply discount and dollar stores have to cut costs somewhere to be able to sell their products at such a low price. Many of these candles are made in other countries and do not have quality control or follow safety regulations and may be fire hazards! They often use low quality waxes bought in bulk or diluted fragrance oils. High quality fragrance oils are the most expensive part of a candle. To save money, some may even go as far as doing a fragrance dip or layer! Have you ever bought a candle that smelled nice at the store, but after lighting it a few times, it no longer had a fragrance? This is because some manufacturers may dip their finished, unscented candles in scented wax or may only use fragrance in the top portion of their candles to cut costs. So you are tricked into buying what you think is a highly fragranced candle when in reality only a portion of the candle is fragranced.

After buying hundreds of candles over the years, I knew how a good, high quality candle should burn. I was tired of myself, family and friends wasting money on inferior products. I knew I could produce a more superior candle than those you can buy at the discount stores. I also knew I could offer my high quality candles at a better price than those you would buy at those widely known candle stores. So after many months of planning, I decided to pursue my dream of owning my own business.

I've spent thousands of hours in the past several years researching waxes, wicks, fragrances, dyes, formulas and designs. I continue to research and do testing everyday to ensure that my candles are the best quality that I can make. I only use the best and highest quality ingredients in my candles. I guarantee that you will smell my candles from the first light to the last! I will not sell any candle to my friends, family or customers that I wouldn't buy myself. That is a promise I made to myself when I started Creative Candles & Gifts and one that I will make to you as my customer.
